German Pancake
Do you like rectangular food?
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 1 cup (120 g) flour
- salt
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 5 tablespoons (70 g) butter
- Fresh lemons or lemon juice
Procedure
- Place the butter in an 9”x13” glass baking dish. Place inside the oven as it preheats to 425 °F.
- Beat the eggs, first. Mix in milk, vanilla and salt. Slowly add flour until smooth.
- Once the oven is preheated, pour batter into baking dish, over the melted butter.
- Bake for 22 minutes or until edges are golden brown and puffy.
- Serve with powdered sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Notes
- May instead serve with powdered sugar and syrup.
