Description: Ground beef patty with gravy.
Ingredients
Steak
- 1 ½ lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Gravy
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 1 ½ cup beef stock
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Procedure
- Mix steak ingredients together. Shape into 4-5 patties. Fry in 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat for 6-8 minutes. Flip and cook for another 6-8 minutes. Remove from pan.
- Saute mushrooms and onion until golden brown. Stir in butter and flour. Add beef stock and simmer until thickened. Stir in heavy cream, ketchup, worcestershire sauce and dijon mustard.
- Add steak to pan and spoon over gravy.
- Serve topped with chopped parsley with mashed potatoes and biscuits.
